Flash Fiction

When they were very young, Amy Grace and Emily Joan made a pact.  They decided that when they were older one of them would be beautiful and one of them intelligent.

And when they were older it became difficult to tell who was the beauty and who the intellect. For both were they.

Wearing only their celebrity they wandered through society littering favour where they chose. The avant garde were outraged.  The intelligentsia bemused.

Upon the return of a glorious comet, in their final pact, they died. The world stood poised expectant of their return, but they did not.
